About

Welcome!

Hello! Thank you for coming to my blog! You might have stumbled across the nomadnet version of this site, or you could've been sent the clearnet link, but either way, I'd like to welcome you to this little site.

What this is for

This blog is part of my effort to conduct my own independent studies, especially into philosophy, history, and literature. One of the ways I'm holding myself accountable to this is by making sure I write regular posts on the things I read or learn. I love to read. I like reading things that challenge me or share a new perspective on something with me, on metaphysics or society or economics or morality. However, for a long time, I forgot what I read shortly after reading it. I made notes and highlights, but I never had a reason to go back to them. With this blog, my goal isn't just to make content and share my ideas with others, but to have an actual reason to think over the material, and express my thoughts and opinions on it.

Subjects

There are a couple of subjects you'll probably see a lot here. I'm really fascinated with philosophy, primarily. I've always been more drawn to practical philosophies like Stoicism, but recently I've been looking at more theoretical ideas. I love epistemology and metacognition, things about what thinking is and how we do it. Outside of philosophy, I also like linguistics (particularly conlangs), history (particularly Napoleonic), and occasionally economics.

Upload Schedule

Sporadic. I'm definitely going to try to make one post per month, at least. When I finish a book, I'll almost certainly start writing something on it.
